Wavetec is a customer experience technology company, headquartered in Dubai, that designs and delivers queue management, self-service kiosks, digital signage and analytics. It operates from 11 offices across 9 countries and has solutions in use across 80+ countries, backed by more than 20,000 customer experience installations worldwide. Wavetec reports more than 150 enterprise clients and over 500 SME clients and government agencies, and that more than 2 million people pass through its customer experience solutions every day.
Saudi Arabia. Dallah Hospital has placed a new purchase order with Wavetec to extend its queue management system (QMS) into more of its departments. The order includes 160 LCD customer display units, among them 15-inch doctor room displays that show each doctor’s photo, name, clinic name and ticket details, alongside kiosks, ticket units, LED displays and digital signage.
The order follows a simple pattern: a hospital that already runs Wavetec’s system is choosing to grow it. Dallah Hospital is an existing Wavetec customer, and this purchase order expands the QMS it already uses into more of its departments.
It also reflects where healthcare in the Kingdom is heading. The Saudi Press Agency, reporting on the 2025 annual report of the Health Sector Transformation Program, noted that more than 31 million users benefited from the Sehhaty app, one measure of how far digital health has reached patients. As more of the patient journey moves onto screens and apps, the physical journey inside the hospital, from registration to the doctor’s door, is the part patients still experience in person.
The new order covers the hardware and software needed to run the patient queue across three floors: the ground floor, the first floor and the second floor. Each floor has its own QMS.
Wavetec’s QMS is already integrated with the hospital’s pharmacy backend system, from the earlier deployment, and this expansion builds on that foundation.
The doctor room display is the most patient-facing part of the order. Instead of a patient guessing whether it is their turn, a 15-inch screen outside the consulting room shows who the doctor is, which clinic it is, and which ticket is being served. For patients, that takes some of the uncertainty out of waiting.
Each floor is designed as its own complete system, with kiosks, ticket units, LED displays, doctor room displays and digital signage working together. Wavetec’s floor-standing M-13 and F-19 kiosks both feature a 17-inch capacitive touchscreen, and the M-13 is built with dual printers to reduce downtime when a paper roll runs out. The digital signage gives the hospital a way to guide patients and share hospital messages while they wait, and the queue management system links all of it together.
A hospital queue is more than a numbered ticket. It has to connect to the systems the hospital already depends on. The existing integration with the pharmacy backend is one example: the QMS is connected to a system the hospital already depends on.
Wavetec has taken the same approach in other healthcare projects. At the Ministry of Health and Prevention in the UAE, the patient flow system is integrated with the ministry’s backend system and medical reports are sent directly to the residency department. For hospitals thinking about patient flow, Wavetec’s pages on healthcare solutions, hospitals and clinics and digital signage for hospitals set out the wider approach.
Wavetec has an office in Riyadh, one of 11 offices across 9 countries.
AI is not part of this Dallah Hospital order’s stated scope. It does sit alongside it in Wavetec’s wider platform, which is called Nexia. Based on Wavetec’s own product pages:
Wavetec states that Nexia queries are read-only, visible and logged, that nothing changes in live operations until an authorized manager approves it, and that it supports role-based access and a full audit trail.
“Dallah Hospital already runs Wavetec’s queue management system, and this order expands it into more departments, with a complete system on each floor and integration with the hospital’s pharmacy backend.”
