Wavetec proudly participated as a Silver Partner at the Reverse Career Expo, an inspiring initiative dedicated to redefining inclusive hiring by placing talented individuals with disabilities at the center of the recruitment experience. Organized around the belief that ability should always take precedence over disability, the event brought together organizations committed to building more equitable workplaces across Pakistan.
Unlike traditional career fairs, the Reverse Career Expo reversed the hiring dynamic. Instead of employers promoting opportunities to job seekers, candidates hosted their own booths, presenting their skills, ambitions, experiences, and aspirations directly to HR leaders and hiring managers. The format encouraged meaningful conversations and allowed employers to appreciate individuals for their capabilities, potential, and unique perspectives.
The event welcomed talented professionals from diverse backgrounds, including individuals who are visually impaired, hearing impaired, mobility impaired, or living with Down syndrome. Each participant brought a distinctive combination of technical expertise, creativity, resilience, and determination, demonstrating that talent exists across every community when opportunities are made accessible.
As a Silver Partner, Wavetec was honored to support an initiative that aligns closely with its long-standing commitment to accessibility, diversity, and inclusive innovation. During the event, Wavetec received a commemorative shield in recognition of its contribution toward advancing inclusive employment and supporting organizations that create meaningful opportunities for people with disabilities.
“Events like the Reverse Career Expo remind us that inclusive hiring is not about creating opportunities out of charity, it’s about recognizing exceptional talent that has too often been overlooked,” said Maniha Shazib, Marketing Executive at Wavetec. “Every conversation we had reinforced the value that diverse perspectives bring to innovation, creativity, and stronger organizations. We are grateful to have been part of an initiative that is helping reshape the future of employment in Pakistan.”
Creating inclusive experiences has long been embedded within Wavetec’s approach to designing technology. The company’s self-service kiosks are engineered with accessibility in mind, incorporating ADA-compliant design principles that enable easier interaction for users with varying physical abilities. Across its customer journey management solutions, including Queue Management System, self-service kiosks, appointment scheduling, and digital service experiences, Wavetec continues to prioritize accessibility alongside usability, security, and enterprise-grade performance.
For Wavetec, inclusion extends beyond technology. The company is committed to fostering a workplace where individuals from diverse backgrounds have the opportunity to contribute, grow, and succeed. By supporting initiatives such as the Reverse Career Expo, Wavetec hopes to encourage broader conversations around accessible employment while continuing to build products and workplaces that are designed for everyone.
