Azimut’s SIM Dispensing solution was featured in a bi-annual Corporate Magazine produced by NEC XON, a leading ICT solutions provider out of South Africa. This is the fruit of a strategic partnership between the two companies combining their resources to provide a complete hardware and software solution to telcos and mobile money agents in Sub-Saharan Africa.
This solution aims to automate telecom services and digitize mobile money transactions using Azimut’s SIM dispensing kiosk and NEC XON’s identity verification solution to verify KYC data to facilitate registration or RICA as it is referred to in the region.
These kiosks aren’t just for telecom service providers, they may also be leveraged by mobile money agents to automate mobile wallet services such as top ups and transfers. Given that Africa has the largest agent network in the world, there is major potential for automation of service provision via self service technology.
