Wavetech has designed and developed a complete pneumatic transport control/display information system for Lever Brothers Pakistan Limited. The unit is installed at Lipton Tea Factory Karachi. The Tea Factory produces a large number of blends. These blends are prepared by mixing tea leafs of different quality to produce a tea of desired taste. If during the mixing process ,an error occurs , a lot of good quality tea is wasted. Wavetech provided them with a solution to install two Blend Information Display Panels to provide a handshake between the two mixing departments. One which is sending the blends and the other which is actually mixing the blends. Both panels are 400 mete r s apart. Before Wavetech undertook the project ,the tea factory control/display panel used to have no feedback or acknowledgment between the two departments. Also, there is no automated logging of the information exchange. The system designed by Wavetech comprises of RS-485 industrial standard serial link, with a hard copy data logging facility available on printer & offers a very user friendly and robust interface which can be operated by even a novice. |
